Dr. Meghan Nichols Podolsky

Dandelion Clinic founder and owner Dr. Meghan Nichols Podolsky is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who received her Doctorate from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, where she graduated summa cum laude. She holds acupuncture licenses in Indiana and California and is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the California Acupuncture Board (CAB). Meghan grew up in Fort Wayne and recently moved back to the city with her family after nearly a decade in San Francisco.

Meghan has completed over 3,000 hours of training in acupuncture and herbal medicine, including post-graduate classes in specialized treatment of complex gynecological diseases, trigger point and myofascial release acupuncture techniques for pain, electroacupuncture, and facial rejuvenation acupuncture. She has previously worked in an integrative medical setting providing acupuncture to stroke patients at the CPMC Hospital’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, and was mentored by the well-known practitioner and educator, Misha Cohen, in an integrative approach to East Asian medical care. With Misha, Meghan treated cancer, HIV, and liver disease patients seeking relief from the side effects of their treatments.

At the core of Meghan’s practice is connecting with patients to help them regain or maintain their health. She is drawn to East Asian medicine as it enables the practitioner to approach human health in its broadest possible context, especially when working in an integrative medicine setting where East Asian and Western medicines complement each other.

Her treatment approach combines acupuncture and East Asian medical theory with unique dietary and lifestyle counseling. Meghan is a trained herbalist and may recommend supplements and herbs, too. She currently specializes in long-term and short-term pain and mobility issues, autoimmune dysfunction, holistic skin care, digestive health, hormonal balance, and nervous system support.

When she’s not in the clinic, Meghan enjoys tending to her vegetable and herb garden, cooking with her husband, working on her old home/forever project, spending time with her family and playing with their dog, Shrimp Boy Willie. She’s exploring Fort Wayne and excited to see all the changes to the city she grew up in.
